Have you ever been in the situation when you were unemployed during the summer?
Who has never experienced it might think that it is a big luck. Typical phrases what a job seeker could here in these times are: “I would change it with you immediately”, “Such a great weather – be happy that you don´t have to be closed in the office whole day”, etc. Very often family, relatives or friends don´t realize that an unemployed person needs their support more than ever and shouldn´t grow guilty feelings for having a free time. It doesn´t help one´s confidence, neither does it eliminate one´s worries about the future. It is worth to explain our surrounding people that to lose the job is not the 1st price in the lottery. No matter in which season it happened.
People diverse. 1,000 people, 1,000 different characters, 1,000 different attitudes. When one can take it easy and decide to have a rest, enjoy summer and recharge the energy, the other can be drawing into depression from not having a job .Truth is that summer is a time for holiday! Even unemployed person needs to take a break from everyday life routine. Memory of holiday time spent with our family and friends will be energizing us whole upcoming year, especially during the winter. It is not wise to stop searching for a job completely but we should not punish ourselves and our family that we lost the job.
To all job seekers being trapped in summer time: When else would be a better time to think what to do next when the labor market is silent? Invest your time in your family, friends and the closest people. Invest in YOURSELF the most.
