Olipa kerran kukoistava yhteiskunta. Yritykset menestyivät ja kansakunta lauloi ja joi. Johtajat olivat ylpeitä ja ylivertaisia. Kansa oli yhtä auvoista perhettä. Muista ei tarvinnut välittää. Johtaja kertoi mitä tehdä, eikä muiden tarvinnut ajatella. Pidettiin huolta.

Yritykset ilmoittavat uusista yt-neuvotteluista lähes päivittäin.  Yhteistoimintalain tarkoituksenahan olisi edistää yrityksen ja sen työntekijöiden yhteistoimintaa ja luoda edellytykset todelliselle vuoropuhelulle työpaikoilla. Kuitenkin neuvotteluiden lopputuloksena yleensä osa työntekijöistä joutuu lähtemään.
